Matthew L. Tilstra, M.D.

As an undergraduate Spanish major, I was able to travel extensively in Latin America and Spain, perfecting my Spanish language skills.

After college, I obtained my M.D. degree at Loma Linda School of Medicine in Southern California. I then completed my Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at one of the busiest obstetrics hospital in the United States, the Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies in Orlando, Florida. During residency, not only did I receive a solid foundation in the management of high and low risk pregnancies, but I took special interest in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and received special training in the Da Vinci Robotic Surgery system.

I am excited to return to Modesto, the town I grew up in. I feel my language skills coupled with sound obstetrics and surgical training make me an ideal fit for this community and it's particular needs.

My wife and I are excited to begin our family here, and I look forward to many years of serving the Modesto area.
