James Y.K. Yip, M.D. - Retired
I am a graduate of the University of Nebraska School of Medicine and have been certified by the American Board of Obstetrics since 1983. I have been practicing in Modesto since 1980. During that time have provided a full spectrum of general obstetrical-gynecological services and have paid special attention to the latest medical advances and technology in our specialty. I am particularly interested in medical issues involving mind-body relationships, which I believe is especially pertinent in the discipline of women’s health.
In the past I have served in leadership roles throughout our community, including as Chief of Staff at both Memorial Medical Center and at the Stanislaus Surgical Hospital and am currently the President-Elect of the Stanislaus Medical Society.
As much personal fulfillment as providing quality patient care has given me, the support I get from my family has been the foundation on which my success has been built. With our daughter now attending college, my wife and I are exploring a variety of favorite hobbies including skiing, Tai-Chi and golfing.
